City of Modesto Honors MMC for Waste Reduction and Recycling Efforts
December 21, 2012 – The award honored our efforts to recycle and reduce waste during the 2011 calendar year. The City stated that participating organizations, including MMC, recycled or reduced 36,000 tons of material that otherwise would have been thrown away, helping to keep Modesto in compliance with state regulations.
MMC recognized as top performer in Patient Safety First program
November 14, 2012 – Memorial Medical Center recognized as Patient Safety First top performer for significantly reducing two or more types of hospital acquired infections to zero and maintaining that standard for a full year from April 2011 through June 2012.

November 9, 2012 – Memorial Medical Center, for the 11th year in a row, has won the prestigious Consumer's Choice Award from the National Research Corporation. Consumers in the Modesto market ranked MMC at the top of the list for Best Overall Quality and Image.
MMC – American College of Cardiology Foundation’s NCDR® ACTION Registry® – GWTGTM Gold Performance Achievement Award
September 27, 2012 – Memorial Medical Center consistently followed the treatment guidelines in ACTION Registry®-GWTGTM for eight consecutive quarters and met a performance standard of 90% for specific performance measures to receive this 2012 award.

August 24, 2012 – Memorial Medical Center (MMC), part of the Sutter Health network, has again been designated an Aetna Institute of Quality® (IOQ) Bariatric Surgery Facility for treating individuals living with morbid or extreme obesity.

June 20, 2012 – Memorial Medical Center and Sutter Tracy Community Hospital, both part of the Sutter Health network of Northern California hospitals, have been honored with an “A” Hospital Safety Score℠ by The Leapfrog Group.

MMC Receives STEMI Receiving Center designation by the Mountain-Valley EMS Agency
November 10, 2011 – Memorial Medical Center was designated a STEMI Receiving Center by the Mountain-Valley Emergency Medical Services Agency (MVEMSA), as well as acknowledgement as an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI from the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC).

October 24, 2011 – Memorial Medical Center’s home health agency, Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of the Central Valley, was named to the 2011 HomeCare Elite™, a compilation of the top-performing home health agencies in the United States.

September 18, 2011 – Gould Medical Group was named an Acclaim Award Honoree. The award, granted through AMGA’s philanthropic arm, the American Medical Group Foundation (AMGF).

May 5, 2011 – MMC has qualified to receive the January 2011 CHART "Certificate of Excellence". This means you and the staff of your hospital have achieved above average or superior scores in 5 of the 8 measure sets (or >62.5% of the measure sets for which you qualify) used to determine eligibility for the Certificate. Your hospital has also not received a "below average" or "poor" score on any CHART measure reported through August 2010, you have chosen to report all CHART measure sets for which you qualify, and you can be scored in at least 4 of the 8 measure sets.

MMC's Acute Multi Care Unit awarded the Beacon Award for Excellence, Gold Status
2011 – Memorial Medical Center’s Acute Multi Care Unit (AMCU), was awarded the Beacon Award for Excellence, Gold Status, from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). The award comes after a nearly three-year, rigorous process of evaluation and improvement in the unit based on multiple measures.
