2009-2010 – Bill Marchese Annual Chamber Business of the Year Award
MMC recognized for its efforts to improve patient satisfaction
2010 – Press Ganey Associates, our Patient Satisfaction vendor, has recently recognized Memorial Medical Center’s efforts to improve patient satisfaction. Press Ganey Improvement Manager Katie Drevs was excited to recognize our statistically significant improvement. “Your hard work and dedication to quality improvement are evident in the increase of your patient satisfaction scores for overall satisfaction. You should be very proud of your organization’s achievements,” Drevs wrote. Memorial’s mean score increased by 1.5, which Press Ganey recognized was not random, but due to changes within our facility, recognized by our patients.
MMC recognized recently as a 2010 Winner in their Waste Reduction Awards Program by CalRecycle
2010 – CalRecycle recently recognized Memorial Medical Center as a 2010 Winner in their Waste Reduction Awards Program (W.R.A.P.). This award was given in recognition of waste prevention business practices that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, protect the environment, and preserve valuable resources. By reusing materials, recycling, composting, procuring environmentally friendly products, and educating consumers and employees on waste reduction, CalRecycle recognizes recipients of this award as a leader in building California’s sustainable economy.
MMC for the 9th year in a row has won the prestigious Consumer's Choice Award from the National Research Corporation
2010 – Memorial Medical Center for the 9th year in a row has won the prestigious Consumer's Choice Award from the National Research Corporation. Consumers in the Modesto market ranked MMC at the top of the list based on four essential consumer metrics: Best Overall Quality, Best Image/Reputation, Best Doctors, Best Nurses.
MMC received reader choice award for Favorite Hospital/Clinic/Medical Group
2010 – Memorial Medical Center received the Modesto Bee Reader's Choice Award for in the category of Favorite Hospital/Clinic/Medical Group.
MMC received an Excellence in Patient Care award given by outcomes firm Studer Group®.
2010 – Memorial Medical Center received an Excellence in Patient Care award given by outcomes firm Studer Group®. The hospital will receive the award for its exemplary “overall rating of hospital” results on the HCAHPS patient survey. Memorial Medical Center received its award in the “250-499 Beds” category for having the best responses to the HCAHPS question “Using any number from 0 to 10, where 0 is the worst hospital possible and 10 is the best hospital possible, what number would you use to rate this hospital during your stay?”
MMC received Medal of Honor for Organ Donations from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
2010 – The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services presented its Medal of Honor for Organ Donations to Memorial for surpassing the Health Resources and Services Administration’s goal for organ donations.

2010 – Memorial Medical Center received prestigious “Certificate of Excellence” recognition from the California Hospital Assessment and Reporting Task Force (CHART).

2010 – Memorial Medical Center’s Marsha Lovelace, R.N., regional interdisciplinary practice model coordinator, was named as a finalist in the category of Leading and Advancing the Profession of Nursing of the 2010 California NurseWeek Magazine Nursing Excellence Awards.
SGMF Honored as a recipient of the “Ronald P. Bangasser Award for Quality Improvement”
2010 – Integrated Healthcare Association - Honored as a recipient of the “Ronald P. Bangasser Award for Quality Improvement” for showing the most significant improvement on P4P measures from 2008 to 2009.
